  15. Community Guidelines for the THRIVE Program

At ADHD at Work, we strive to create a community that fosters connection, conversation, learning, and growth in a safe and judgment-free environment. Our community is built on respect, encouragement, and the shared goal of supporting each member's journey with ADHD. In line with our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, we ask all members to embrace these principles in their interactions.

By participating in the THRIVE program, you agree to uphold these guidelines and contribute to a welcoming and supportive community for all members.

  1. Respect and Positivity:

    • Encourage and Support: Celebrate each other's achievements and offer positive reinforcement. We thrive on mutual success and the shared joy it brings.

    • Constructive Communication: Engage in discussions that are solution-focused and contribute positively to the community.

    • Healthy Boundaries: Maintain respect for personal boundaries. Avoid offering unsolicited advice or dictating what others should do.

    2. Professional Conduct:

    • No Promotions or Solicitations: This community is not a marketplace. Avoid promoting your business, spamming, or soliciting members in any form, including direct messages.

    • Privacy Respect: Do not contact members without their explicit permission. This includes private messages, emails, or invitations to other groups.

    • Respect Accessibility: Direct all queries or notable mentions to public channels where they can be addressed transparently and inclusively.

    3. Supportive Environment:

    • Focused Support: This is a space for learning and support around ADHD. While our coaches are here to help, some topics require professional services outside our scope, such as mental health crises or medical advice.

    • Resource Direction: If you need specialized support (e.g., for eating disorders, abuse, or suicidal ideation), our community managers will guide you to appropriate resources and professional help.

    4. Content Sensitivity:

    • Trigger Warnings: Always use trigger warnings for content that may be disturbing or sensitive. This allows members to choose their engagement based on their comfort and capacity.

    • Safe Sharing: Ensure that your contributions do not unexpectedly distress or harm other members. Be mindful when sharing potentially triggering content.

    5. Inclusivity:

    • Embrace Diversity: We value and respect diversity in all forms—cultural, racial, sexual, and cognitive. Encourage discussions and perspectives that reflect our varied experiences.

    • Equitable Participation: Ensure that every member feels heard and valued. Actively engage in practices that promote equity within the community.
